trend & true tuesday: skirts

Trend: Slip Skirts.

I know I say this every week, but I am here. for. this. trend. I’ve seen a lot of people style these with a sweater and booties and I love the juxtaposition of the light feminine skirt and a chunky sweater. And you know what else I love? Affordability. This one from Walmart is only $12, this one from Nordstrom Rack is only $27, and this one from ASOS is only $29 (on sale). This one from Nordstrom is a little pricier but comes in the prettiest feminine colors.

True: Wool Skirts.

Getting dressed to work in an office in the winter is a serious struggle. Basically all I ever want to wear is leggings and a sweater but apparently that’s frowned upon? Enter wool skirts. A pencil skirt in pretty much any fabric is classic, but I especially like a wool one. It’s very Mad Men and a suitable alternative to office leggings. I have this one from J.Crew Factory in two colors (it also comes in houndstooth here) and I’m lusting after this mini from A&F (the tartan!). This one from J.Crew proper is a splurge but the herringbone is SO pretty (also lol at the 1% off).
